Nigerian superstar Bank W who introduced him to the fans on stage, refers to him as one of the greatest African rappers of all time. When The Evergreen ADONAI song featuring disappeared musician Castro hit the speakers, The Whole Auditorium Tun Up. That was indeed legendary.

Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo is a Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife recording artist who was the recipient of the 2012 BET Award for Best International Act: Africa category. He was nominated for the same award in 2014.
He has been nominated for World Music Awards, Independent Music Awards and has been the recipient of several Ghana Music Award honors. He won Best Rap Act at the 2014 MTV Base Africa Music Awards, Best Hip Hop song at the 2014 World Independent Awards and was named 8th Most Bankable Artist in Africa by Forbes in 2013.
Sarkodie, the fourth of five children, was born and raised in Tema, to his mother Maame Aggrey. Sarkodie started rapping at a young age and continued throughout his educational career. He attended Tema Methodist Senior High School. He earned a degree in graphic design from IPMC. Sarkodie began his instrumental career as an underground rapper.
