The delay in the distribution of Ghana’s ambulances contested…

Ghana as a country had been in the need of proper and functioning ambulances services to cushion the crippling health sector in the country for so long.

The government of the day, the Akufo Addo led NPP, has acquired some but seem not to know when to disburse them.

The unreadiness to distribute these ambulances has created a nationwide fuss. Some factions believe that the long wait is justifiable for the necessary technological installations to be done for a proper use whilst others believe that the delay is mere wickedness on the part of the government.

The government decided to distribute them today but that has also been contested because of a new plea from the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu.
The Health Minister’s plea and/or advice follows a tip off from the CEO of National Ambulance Service (NAS), Prof. Ahmed N. Zakaria, who says a number of things are not in place yet to occasion the distribution of the ambulances that was scheduled for today.

TV’s seasoned presenter – Alfred phoned and questioned the Director General of NAS as to why this is happening.

What is your take on this?
