When Sarkodie Meets Ludacris Live

It has been four weeks of waiting since Vodafone released the names of artistes billed to perform at the third edition of the hugely popular 020 Live concert and the expectations of music enthusiasts have been growing by the day.

With only three days to go, many young fans see the concert as the perfect opportunity for Ghana to show what the country has got by way of rap music; the opportunity for GH dream rapper Sarkodie to beat American Ludacris at his own game.

Although organisers Vodafone have not thought of the show as a competition and again although Sarkodie’s managers have observed that the 020 Live concert is designed to be just fun, Sarkodie fans expect their idol to “kill” the show.

Performers appearing on the bill are Sarkodie, Ludacris, 4×4, Naeto C who will be joined by Black N’ Peach, Vodafone Icon winners for 2012.

As has been said before, music fans will be guaranteed a night to remember with performances by three of Africa’s most awarded music artistes and Ludacris, one of the best live performers in the US.

Fans of these artistes will see them in a new light as they take to the 020 Live! stage and justify beyond all doubt their status as Africa’s best musicians.

Uche Ofodile, the Chief Marketing Officer for Vodafone Ghana said at the time of the announcement “Sarkodie has been confirmed as a true international act with his latest award as Best International Act at the BET Awards and Ludacris is a fantastic performer – fans are guaranteed to have a blast when he’s on stage.

“4×4 have won several awards in Ghana and have thrilled their fans with every one of their performances and Naeto C is a huge act in Nigeria and has proved to have a great presence on stage. We believe that in focusing on four big acts for 020 Live we are taking concerts in Ghana to a new level.”
