Singer and TV host Jon Germain chose top actress Yvonne Nelson as his best dressed personality in the last edition of Fashion 101’ last Friday.
Yvonne was chosen from a list of A-list stars including Jackie Appiah, Majid Michel, Roselyn Ngissah and Ruffy Samuel of ‘Honey Coochi Coochii.’
It was the third episode of the hit television show ‘Fashion 101’, which aired over the weekend on TV3. It saw two of Ghana’s favourite actors, Yvonne Nelson and Jackie Appiah, display some good fashion sense, earning them very good reviews from members of the panel.
Jackie and Yvonne were given thumbs up for the styles they wore to the nominations party of the Ghana Movie Awards. Jon Germaine, who was a guest on the show, found everything absolutely good on Yvonne, while the two other panel members – Linda Annan and Chester Anie simply liked the colour combination of Jackie’s attire, a pant suit and a camisole.
However, Linda would have rather had Jackie wear the camisole without the jacket. In all, all panel members as well as host, Sandra, agreed that out of the list of pictures that came up for mentioning on the show, Jackie rocked.
Another Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel, wowed the panel members with his great sense of fashion. Fellow actor/director Ruffy Samuel of ‘Honey Coochi Coochii’ fame got it all figured out according to Chester, while Jon wondered what inspired his choice of attire in what looked like “a carrot jacket”.
Again, ‘Fashion 101’ was at the red carpet of the Ghana Movie Awards and interviewed some celebrities including Chris Attoh, Helen Asante, Benny Blanco, Vicky Zugah, Stacy Amoateng and Rahim Banda among others, on what they were wearing and the names behind their style.
The makeover segment also had fashion designer Ajepomaa give Nana, a young lady, a stunning transformation.
In its third week, Fashion 101 is a unique television programme positioned strategically to give Ghanaian celebrities a new sense of fashion drive, as well as promote Ghanaian fashion designers. It airs every Saturday at 8:30am on TV3, and is hosted and executive produced by Sandra Ankobiah.
