Big Brother STARGAME Is On: Tanzania And Zimbabwe Up For Eviction

The biggest reality show on African Television Big Brother Africa STARGAME has finally kicked off and already, biggie has begun pulling surprises. The show was officially launched in South Africa on Sunday May 6, 2012 where all 36 housemates going to play the game this year, was announced.

The show started with energetic dance performance followed by headlined act sensational American rapper J. Cole MCs were IK alongside Channel O VJ and Capital FM Radio presenter, Flavia. On turn table was talented Channel O Bassment DJ Miss Cosmo who kept the crowd alive. Other African artistes also performed to add colour to the night.

Big Brother’s announcement confirmed Peacefmonline.com story that indeed Eazzy (Mildred) and her boyfriend Keitta are representing Ghana as the double housemates and comedian DKB as the celebrity housemate. The housemates were not even allowed to settle down and already two countries are up for eviction.

Using the advanced Random Nomination Mechanism monitored by an independent auditor, IK with a help of a volunteer rolled the wheel and the balls written Tanzania and Zimbabwe were drawn. Though it was hard to believe at first, Tanzania’s Hilda and Julio as well as Teclar and Menata from Zimbabwe eventually came up for first eviction.

The Tanzanian Housemates remained calm when they realized they were up for eviction but Zimbabwe’s Maneta couldn’t contain her shock. Her sister, Teclar declared “I’m getting high” to calm her down.Tanzanian’s Julio expressed his displeasure saying “It’s unfair, we’re just getting acquainted”. However, Nigerian Housemate, Chris wasted no time in “laying his hands” on Teclar to try and calm her down while the other Housemates perked out laughing at how hilarious he was going about it.

Like last year’s Big Brother Amplified, there two houses; The UPVILLE where the seven celerity housemates from 7 different countries are housed including Ghana’s DKB and the DOWNVILLE where Mildred (Eazzy) and Keitte are part of fourteen (couple) double housemates from fourteen different countries. IK revealed that this Season, DOWNVILLE Housemates will not be nominating each other.

Today is day one in the house and housemates in both houses are still getting to know each other, meanwhile first diary session has already begun in the UPVILLE house. Sunday May 13, 2012 will be the first live eviction show.
