Pregnant Tiwa Savage to miss ‘Tigo Ghana Meets Naija’ Concert

The first lady of Mavin crew, Tiwa Savage, will not join the Mavin family on stage at the 5th edition of the bi-national musical concert in Ghana, now known as the Tigo Ghana Meets Naija Concert.

This year’s edition will feature Nigeria’s Don Jazzy-led Mavin crew made up of Reekado Banks, Dr Sid, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, D’ Prince and Tiwa Savage, while Ghanaian heavy weights, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy will represent Ghana.

However, heavily pregnant Tiwa Savage will not make the trip as she is fast approaching her EDD (Expected Delivery Date) and she has been warned to cut down her performances and travels.

Tiwa Savage has also been excluded from the artworks and designs for the event by the organisers. The event will hold on May 23, 2015 at the Conference Center in Ghana.

The entertainment powerhouse owned by Starr FM CEO, Kwabena Anokye Adisi, more commonly known as Bola Ray, has for the past four years used the competitive platform to promote collaborations between Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes.

The show in the past has seen thrilling performances by artistes such as Brymo, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Castro, Wizkid, Davido, D’banj, 4×4, Shatta Wale, R2bees, and M.I among others.

Both Ghana and Nigeria have had strong representations in the past with the two countries having their fair share of victory moments. The 5th edition which is slated for Saturday, 23rd May 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre is under the theme: “Unleashing Unlimited Music”.
