Vodafone Icons to award 3 finalists with recording contracts

This is part of the organiser’s decision to provide the avenue through which all the three finalists will explore their talent on the market after the competition.

The winner for this year’s show dubbed, Icons Remix Edition is expected to walk home with a brand new Nissan Qashqai, a recording contract and Vodafone branded souvenirs. The prizes package for the three finalists is worth GH C 265,000.00.

In a statement issued by the Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Agnes Essah, this year’s “mouth watering” prize package is aimed at “supporting the finalists in their quest to become the next big thing in the Ghanaian music industry.

“The prize package also underpins our commitment to empower young people in the country to achieve their dreams, and our contribution towards skills development for the youth,” the statement said.

In its fourth year, the Vodafone Icons show since it started in 2011 by telecommunications company, Vodafone, has unearthed and groomed many raw talents for the music market.

Some of the past winners are RnM, Black N Peach. Ryan Korsah won last year’s Street Edition show.
