Peace tour by Ohemaa Mercy and Yaw Sarpong

The journey to the election has become the agenda for peace as Ohemaa Mercy em-back’s on a tour to caution the people and fans in this challenging period. She is know for award wining songs such as Aseda, Wofiri Mu, Nhyira, Menka Mano Nto Mu, We Praise Your Name among others said she is already rehearsing with a band to make the campaign an interesting one.

“I am embarking on this peace tour not because I believe there would be violence during this year’s elections. However, I think it wouldn’t hurt anyone to sound a word of caution to anyone who has the intention of causing commotion during the period”, she said

Yaw Sarpong who is playing a major role in the tour said this will steer clear of violence during this year’s elections through music, thus driving home the message of disadvantages of election violence.

He said

“In addition to using my music to sensitise Ghanaians, I will also bring on board experts to educate Ghanaians on the dangers of election violence”.

Songs to Yaw Sarpong’s credit include Wayɛ  Awie, Esther, Judas, Yenka Nkyere Agya (Joseph) and Hawa.
