3 Young Social-entrepreneurs Receive Assistance From Australian High Commissioner

The only “celebrity” High Commissioner in Ghana who prides himself with Ghana’s local dishes and other societal values, His Excellency Gregory Andrews, is in the news again. The Australian High Commissioner has aided some entrepreneurs whose main aim is to tackle poverty. He revealed this on his official Facebook page.

The Australian High Commissioner noted;

There are so many smart and energetic people with great ideas in Ghana. This week at the High Commission we helped three young social-entrepreneurs to refine eight fantastic ideas to tackle poverty and plastic pollution. From helping homeless children to sleep safely and do their schoolwork, to establishing school vegetable gardens and reducing plastic bag use and waste in Accra. We spent two hours with Makafui, Mabel and Esinam from Mckingtorch Africa to help them practice pitching their ideas and business proposals to potential donors.

The Australian High Commission is already working with Mckingtorch on a number of projects and we want to empower them to secure wider support and funding. If you think you could help, why not contact Mckingtorch for a copy of their prospectus.
