Akufo-Addo Embarks On Working Tour Visit To Akro Farms Ltd
On Tuesday, 4th August 2020, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was in Koforidua, where he cut the sod for the construction of the Nsukwao Basin Drainage Project, under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP), which will help stop the perennial flooding faced by residents living in Nsukwao, Zongo, Two Streams, Abongri and other communities within the New Juaben Municipality.
The First Gentleman of the state also visited Akro Farms Ltd., a 1-District-1-Factory (1D1F) initiative, located in Apasare in Akwapim North.
According to the presidential aides, the systems and processes of the poultry farm project are fully automated, making it the only fully automated poultry farm in the country. It has so far created 1,025 direct and indirect jobs for residents of Apasare and its surrounding districts.
