Ambulance Service Call Centre Receives 200 Prank Calls Hourly

Will anyone be right to make a bold declaration that Ghanaians play too much? Ghanaians are known to be quite jovial and hospitable in all avenues of their lives. This is an undisputed fact that characterizes the life of every Ghanaian.

The country leaped with joy when the government of the day commissioned the 307 ambulances for the 275 Constituencies. This according to the government is to augment the already existing health facilities in order to make health delivery in the country smooth.

At the moment, emergency line – 112 is what the ambulance service call centre is using for its operations. Previously, it was 193.

So the agreed 112 emergency line is allegedly being abused by Ghanaians. Some call the line just to request for mobile money or even make absurd claims or requests. The ambulance service has started complaining already.

Ghanaians should desist from this act before all emergency calls are deemed as pranks.
