Brand Becca too strong to die

imagesWhen prolific singer, Becca, parted ways with her management outfit, EKB Records, in March this year, many were those who wondered how she was going to cope without her long-term trusted team.

Well, Becca has a new management team called Kolophonic based in United Kingdom and they claim Becca cannot fail under their watch.

Evidence abounds of artistes who parted ways with their management teams and subsequently faded away but Yoel Kenan, CEO of Kolophonic, a pan-African record label which just signed on Becca, says the singer’s brand is too well established to die.

“Becca is the first artiste we have just signed on and we will do everything within our power to make her reach higher heights. We know EKB Records helped her achieve a lot and we won’t disappoint her because Becca is a phenomenal singer. We are going to aggressively promote her through our networks in countries like United States of America, U.K, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya,” he said.

Asked why Kolophonic settled for Becca, Yoel explained that the label was enchanted by Becca’s intelligence, talent, great voice and the fact that she was a brand with potential to be pushed to the highest level.
Talking about how they came into contact with Becca, Yoel who is currently working on two new singles for the singer, said they knew her Becca through the CEO of EKB Records, Kiki Banson.

“He introduced Becca to us last year. So when they went their separate ways, we decided to step in and continue with the good work EKB Records had started with her. We are on good terms with Kiki Banson and we will consult him on issues when necessary,” he said.

One of Kolophonic’s plans for Becca is for her to compete on the same level with big international acts like Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige within the next five years.
“We don’t want to put everything out there but we want Ghanaians to know that Becca’s brand will never go down,” he said.

An excited Becca told Showbiz she felt honoured to be signed on by Kolophonic.
“Not many artistes get such a wonderful opportunity and I count myself blessed,” she stated.
According to Becca, EKB Records worked hard to establish her brand and was confident she was going to work in her best interest.

Becca explained that it will be wrong for anyone to say her brand was dead because she parted ways with EKB Records.

“I have the talent and with my new management, I am going to be bigger and stronger. I still have a lot of great music inside me and music fans should look out for me in the coming months,” the award-winning singer said
