BREAKING: Ebola discoverer infected with coronavirus
One of the world’s most serious diseases, the ebola virus which was first identified in the year 1976 in Congo and resurfaced in 2015.
The man who discovered the Ebola virus, Prof.Peter Karel Baron Piot in 1976 was also at the forefront of the fight against AIDS and participated in clinical trials to find a vaccine for AIDS.

He worked with the World Health Organization as founding executive director of UNAIDS. He also was a participant in Ebola vaccine trials that eventually lead to the discovery of a vaccine.
He contracted COVID-19 went into intensive care and survived. He is currently head of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
The COVID-19 has proven to be no respecter of persons so we all have to be very careful.
