Coronavirus confirmed in Ghana?


A screenshot  which is going viral on social media shows an article purported to have emanated  from  BBC News titled “Coronavirus: Ghana confirms first case in the University of Ghana” .  

 

The story is causing fear and panic among the citizenry in Ghana currently as they are not oblivious of how deadly coronavirus is. Some have raised doubts  on preparedness towards  combating it should it hit the territories of our country.

The fake news

A quick check by Ghanashowbiz.com team from the University of Ghana however reveals that, the screenshot is fake and nothing of that sort has occurred in the Nation’s premiere University.



The screenshot was clearly designed by some unscrupulous people to cause fear and panic.
