The shutdown of the museum, according to Baffour Osei Hyiamang Bretuo VI, the Otumfuo Manwerehene, was due to the Coronavirus scare and how to salvage the opprobrium.
Baffour Osei Hyiamang Bretuo VI said the decision to shut down the museum was directed by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II with regards to President Nana Akufo Addo’s ban on all social gatherings to curtail the spread of the deadly disease.
The chief also indicated that the Palace has put in place adequate precautionary measures such as those visiting the palace being screened before they’re allowed to enter the premises and others.
