The said suit was filed in connection to the 15th of March 2020 Presidential Executive orders that suspended all public gatherings in Ghana for four weeks due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Moving the ex parte application in Court, lawyer for the applicants told the Court that the actions of the NIA represent a total disregard for the orders of the President of the Republic and an order of the Court to restrain the National Identification Authority is the surest remedy.
Justice Daniel Mensah’s Court in its ruling has favoured the plaintiffs by granting the interlocutory injunction for the next ten (10) days.
