COVID-19 Storms Ho Police Training College
As part of efforts to subdue the spread of COVID-19, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in his last Nation’s Address on the government’s effort in fighting COVID-19 indicated an extension in the ban on social gathering including schools. He’s expected to extend or lift the ban on May 31.
But, news reaching us indicates the Ho Police Training College has recorded a COVID-19 case after a trainee got infected with the virus at the Volta Regional Police Training School in Ho.
Speaking on Alhaji and Alhaji Show on Pan African Television, Ace Journalist Kwesi Pratt Jn alleged that the situation has led to a fuss among the trainees at the Training School.
“There have been rumours that the reason for keeping all Police Training Schools opened against the President’s order to close down all Educational Institutions (from Basic to Tertiary levels) until further notice amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, was to train more personnel towards election 2020”, Kwesi Pratt further alleged.
