Domestic Violence: Lil Frosh pleads not guilty, remanded at Ikoyi prison

Ex-DMW Records signee, Sanni Wasiu Goriola popularly known as Lil Frosh, is still in police custody after his first sitting at the Lagos magistrates’ court over physical assault on Okeoghene Iyomaterie, his girlfriend who is better known as Gift Camille.

The rapper was docked on Tuesday, February 9, while appearing before Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos state magistrate’s court in Yaba.

The Lagos court has ordered the remand of the embattled rap musician at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre for allegedly beating up his now ex-girlfriend.

This is coming months after Gift Camille’s manager, Mayoks Michael had called out Lil Frosh for beating Camille to stupor which he denied.

The girl in question also took to Instagram to share her side of the story and the horrible treatments she allegedly received from the singer during the period of 10 months that they dated.

Similarly, the singer’s contract with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) was terminated, as the record label stated they do not condone any form of domestic violence against women.

It was gathered that Lil Frosh, who earlier denied the allegations, was rearrested by the operatives to the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, on February 4, 2021, to be charged to court to answer for his crimes.

However, according to a report by The PUNCH, Lil Frosh was arraigned on one count of assault but he pleaded not guilty. The case was therefore adjourned till March 9, 2021.
