ELECTION 2020: Ghana Police Personnel Ready To Escort All Ballot Boxes
The Ghana Police Service has assured all Ghanaians of maximum police protection of all electoral materials after the close of polls in the presidential elections today.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service on their official Facebook page.
Election Security Update:
Voting is progressing steadily and peacefully across the country. Voting has also resumed at places where the process was halted due to rainstorm.
The Police are reminding all, especially those who have the opportunity to use the mass media space to be mindful of their language use. All allegations of crime and impropriety are being investigated.
Security personnel have been sent to the Polling Stations where we have observed the absence of security presence. Also, security personnel will escort all ballot boxes to their collation centres before logging out of their polling station duties.
Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. James Oppong Boanuh visited some Polling Stations in Accra and we are happy to share some pictures with you.
