One of the IT pillars of the main opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) – Yayra Koku has revealed how he feels Ewes and Voltarians are not being treated fairly in the ongoing New Voter ID registration.
Yayra Koku didn’t mince words as he made his opinion known to all and sundry on his Facebook timeline. He wrote;
“Watching images coming from Aflao/Ketu South and I am just wondering…Why are EWES/VR treated differently from other border regions?
For heavens sake how do you think we feel, being constantly labelled as Togolese, non-Ghanaians etc. What don’t they these things in other border regions?
I know families who have homes in both Aflao and Lome. There are several towns stretching up towards Ho that can barely define where the border between Ghana and Togo is. Why this level of intimidation? Why block the roads?
How do you expect the average EWE person to feel about these things? This is annoying! STOP the intimidation!”
What’s your take on this?
