Ghana to host the biggest ‘Wines of South Africa’ tasting event in Accra

With the enviable position as the gateway to the West African sub- continent, Ghana is again poised to host the first edition of WINES OF SOUTH AFRICA Grand Tasting Tour 2015, on Friday July 17 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

The grand event is an initiative of Wines of South Africa (a non – profit Organization) to promote the world acclaimed South African Wines to consumers around the World.

The maiden edition in Ghana is in partnership with JON WILLIAMS Events company and it is expected to bring over twenty (20) Wine Producers from South Africa to Ghana to interact with consumers, Wine distributors and wholesalers as well as the hospitality and Tourism industry in Ghana.

Ghana has been selected as the first destination in West Africa due to many factors which the organizers are hopeful will be the epitome of great hospitality, business and pleasure for all stakeholders in the industry. Ghana holds an enviable position as a favorite investment destination in the sub – region and with a strong bond of business between South Africa and Ghana, Wines of South Africa is positive the Grand Tasting event in Ghana will be an experience for Ghanaians comparable to any Wine Tasting Event in Europe and the Americas.

The event of July 17 2015 will include a professional Wine Course Training session in the Morning for Hospitality and Tourism operators like Restaurants, Pubs, Lounges and Hotels, Business to Business session with Wine Distributors/Wholesalers, potential wine importers and the grand event commences at 6PM at the main ballroom of Movenpick hotel.

The grand tasting is open to the general public to experience the eclectic and authentic flavors of WINES OF SOUTH AFRICA with LIVE Music and food to indulge in.

This event is also serves as a prelude to the Grand event in Cape Town South Africa in September 2015.

Mr. Matome Mbatha, the Market Manager for Africa and the Americas expressed great enthusiasm for the event in Ghana and hopes it evolves into an annual Wine Tasting Festival event to make Ghana one of the favorite wine destinations in the sub – region for WINES OF SOUTH AFRICA and also grateful for the Ghanaian patronage of WINES OF SOUTH AFRICA over the past decade and more with support from the media partners, GLOBAL MEDIA ALLIANCE, STARR FM, YFM, Business & Financial Times and ETV Ghana.
