Has Kwame A-Plus Lost His Relevance Because Of Nana Addo’s Government?

Many Ghanaian youths became convinced about how Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng aka Kwame A-Plus started his new movement. The former musician’s establishment of The People’s Project (TPP) bought him some time to crawl in between the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC). After claiming to have been disappointed by both the NPP and NDC, his support from all and sundry suddenly rose to another level. This is partly attributable to the fact that most people are just tired of NPP or NDC but have no other third option. It was for this same reason people decided to rally behind TPP and A-Plus for the future ‘Third Force’ they had envisaged.

Listening to countless interviews of A-Plus gave him away. Because, in most of his responses, he sounded bitter because his contract had been terminated! Did he need a backup plan to face the NPP?

A-Plus raised hopes so high that we thought TPP would definitely be on this year’s ballot paper. The fear a few people harbour within is how A-Plus might be forced to return to NPP in the near future. Is this a possibility we shouldn’t rule out?
