Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu Secures A Bus For Mankranso Senior High School Before 8th Parliament Commences
The Member of Parliament for the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu who doubles as the Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education has delivered his first achievement in 2021.
While many Members of Parliament-elect are taking a log break after a stressful campaign and election, Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu was lobbying for a fair share of the 120 buses that were to be distributed among over 900 competitive public senior high schools in Ghana.
He has successfully secured a bus for the biggest senior high school in his constituency, the Mankranso Senior Senior High School which arrived on eve of the New Year. The bus is just a fraction of the many developmental projects he undertook in Mankranso SHS during his 8 years in parliament.
The 120 buses were presented by the Minister for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh in Accra yesterday. During the presentation, he said that in the course of the year, vehicles and motorbikes had been distributed to Regional Directors of Education, Circuit Supervisors, and various senior high schools, in a bid to support education delivery.
The Minister urged the various School Heads who had been given the responsibility for these vehicles to ensure that they were taken good care of so that they could serve the purpose for which they were imported.
Dr. Prempeh reiterated that Government would continue to invest in the frontline managers of the country’s educational institutions because they were central to the education reforms that the Ministry sought to pursue.
