How Mel Gibson Was Hospitalized in April Over Coronavirus Scare

Mel Colmcille Gerard Gibson AO as an American actor and filmmaker has made impacts in Hollywood and beyond. Known for his action hero roles, particularly his breakout role as Max Rockatansky in the first three films of the post-apocalyptic action series, “Mad Max”, he privately became one of the most renowned world figures to have battled COVID-19 earlier this year. The talented Australian filmmaker was admitted to a hospital in the United States back in April.

Per close sources, 64-year-old was diagnosed with the Coronavirus and was hospitalized for at least one week. Gibson suooosedly dealt with his illness in private and has since tested negative for the virus several times, as The Daily Telegraph Australia was the first to report.

His rep had this to say:

“He tested positive in April and spent a week in the hospital,” a rep for Gibson told the publication.

The rep also shared information on Gibson’s health battle, revealing that he “was treated with the drug Remdesivir, while in the hospital.”

“[He] has tested negative numerous times since then as well as positive for the antibodies”.

The actor seems well and fit now.
