In Part 1
of this writeup, I indicated that the three basic necessities of life which include food, shelter, and clothing are serving as a baseline for measuring our comfort zones or levels and that was straight from my heart! I also questioned why the academicians never added water since our existence is impossible without it for just a few days’ time whilst there could be a bit longer survival without food intake. Well, maybe (just maybe) they saw the “food” aspect to consist of both food and water.

Aging with the mindset of food being anything solid or liquid taken in for nutrients and growth got us glued to only the primary reasons why we eat — filling the potbellied tummies! As we bag more years, we realize that preparing food is more than just buying ingredients and stuff from the grocery store to the kitchen and mixing things up to serve ourselves breakfast, brunch, lunch, or supper or whatever name we give it.
Personally, starving oneself a bit to me is the best way to appreciate the food in front of you when you finally lay your hand on one. Actually, whilst some people have all the time in the world to eat slowly, others just have no time to waste on their meals and wish they could swallow the plate and the food in just one breath.
