I can’t work with Mahama but I can work with Akufo-Addo –Liberal Party of Ghana’s Kofi Akpaloo laments

The flagbearer of Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Kofi Akaploo claims that former President John Dramani Mahama (JDM) lacks quality. According to the LPG leader, JDM is just unfit to be Ghana’s president again.

He asserted that JDM is no match for the sitting president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of this year’s general elections.

In an exclusive interview with Micky Osei Berko’s “Wow” show on TV3, Mr. Akpaloo said although he believes in bringing all on board, he will reject Mr Mahama any day and anytime.

Mr. Akpaloo said;

“I want quality in my term of government so I cannot employ Mahama. If there is a need to but will maybe employ Akufo-Addo because he has proved to be better than John Mahama. And I will employ him (referring to Nana Addo here) to join the Council of State to advise my government.”

Readers can recall that Mr. Kofi Akpaloo was disqualified by the Charlotte Osei-led Electoral Commission — together with Madam Akua Donkor and her Ghana Freedom Party in the 2016 elections due to some incoherent filings on their nomination forms.

At the moment, Mr. Akpaloo is quite confident that his party will have a resounding victory in the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Akpaloo may join the likes of National Democratic Party’s Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Progressive People’s Party’s Paa Kwesi Nduom, Ghana Union Movement’s Pastor Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiriabosom, All People’s Congress’ Hassan Ayariga and others to battle it out with New Patriotic Party’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and National Democratic Congress’ John Dramani Mahama on Dec 7.
