I will be supportive of Justin Bieber – Usher

R&B superstar Usher Raymond says he will support teen superstar Justin Bieber through his ups and downs of fame and life.

Usher who helped discover the teen star speaking to Anjali Rao on TalkAsia on CNN said he knew from the first day he saw Justin’s video on Youtube that he had a lot of potential to be a star and was proud to have contributed to making him who he is now.

“…I saw him, I arranged a meeting with his manager who I had worked with in the past and said this kid has definitely got what it takes to be something incredible and I will really like to invest into his future. I feel like it is ideal to be part of it,” adding that he also entered the industry at a young age of 15.

The star said with Justin stepping into the limelight and the various challenges that comes with being a star, he was ready to support him through the good and bad times of his career and did not only see him as a business partner but also as a friend.

“The pitfalls of fame comes in time. It should be a long story which is what we hope for, we hope for longevity and that’s far its definitely looking like a lot of fans who will want to grow with him.”

Pledging his support for him, Usher said: “I will be there, supportive of the growth; I will be there, supportive of the hard times; I will be there, supportive of the tumultuous situations and circumstances that he may experience in his life.”

Born Justin Drew Bieber on March 1, 1994 in Canada, Justin has stunned the world with his amazing talent through several hit songs including Baby that features Ludacris.

He has also won several international awards including Artist of the Year at the 2010 American Music Awards and Best New Artiste at the MTV Music Video Awards.
