I write this letter, not for attention but to tell venerated music producer and Programme Director of Hitz FM, Mark Okraku Mante that I am sorry for an article I wrote some time ago that he didn’t know the rudiments and intricacies of music.
Mark, I know and have heard that you were not happy about that article and you have even said on radio that you would never take me serious as an arts writer.
In fact, Okraku, I never meant to discredit you. I didn’t say you were totally ignorant about music. I was just saying that even though you knew the business, production and historical aspect of music, your judgement on ‘Mentor’ contestants showed that you lacked knowledge in the rudiments of music – I mean the ‘music’ of music.
I even remember I advised that when it got to the keys, ‘flatting of notes’ and the rest, leave it to Dominic.
I wrote that article on a positive note so please forgive me wai. I want us to meet at a joint to share some drinks and talk about some deal. Will you come to Koforidua or I should come to Accra?
Greetings to your sweet ‘wife’ Jozy and the kids. I’m waiting to MC that wedding some day. Please, if this letter doesn’t get to you, it means MrHaglah OnHitzfm didn’t deliver it.
My manager Jonilar Laryea didn’t write this letter. I wrote it by myself.
