Land Dispute At Dome Faase Escalates As Soldiers Storm There

News reaching us indicates that soldiers and some residents of Faase are critically injured after clash over land ownership.

The spokesperson to the Divisional Chief in a press conference yesterday did not take it likely as they accused the soldiers who were put into the operation for not taking extra caution which caused more trouble.

Land guard clashes have become an ‘on and off’ happenings in the vicinity. According to an Adom FM correspondent – Seth Agyei who spoke to JoyNews, the irascible youths pelted stones at the security personnel who then decided to talk to them. The over 500 youths who attacked the military caused more havoc as brand new cars and motor cycles were set ablaze. Also, two military officers sustained cutlass wounds on their heads.

According to the Adom FM correspondent, the irate youths nearly set the military officers on fire. So far, about 50 youths from 100 towns have been arrested because of this commotion.
