Lauren London to Join Cast of BET’s ‘The Game’

Since actors Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall’s sudden and unexplained departure from BET’s hit dramedy “The Game,” the show’s producers have been on the prowl for talent that would replace the now former series’ stars.  Enter actress Lauren London, who has been added to the cast of the program reports TVLine.  “The Game” which will enter its sixth season centers around the lives of football players and the women who love them.

The petite 27-year-old actress’ breakout starring role was in the 2006 film “ATL” opposite rapper Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. or as he is best known as, T.I.   The performer also appeared in “Next Day Air,” “Good Hair” and “Madea’s Big Happy Family.”  London has done some small screen work as well, such as on the HBO comedy hit series “Entourage” and the now defunct comedy ”Everybody Hates Chris.”

Although her acting background has been pretty limited, London’s most memorable role and one that put her on the map was when she announced that rap superstar Lil Wayne was her baby daddy.  The half African-American, half Jewish performer gave birth to Wayne’s son in September 2009.

London, whose career has mostly spanned music videos with artists such as Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams will reportedly play a character named “Kiera” on “The Game.”

As far as who will replace Hall’s character “Derwin” on the show is still a mystery.

So stay tuned….
