Lifting lockdown – Popular NDC MP backs Akufo-Addo
After the president’s 7th National Address to Ghanaians yesterday, varied commentaries are ongoing on all social media platforms as to whether the First Gentleman got his directive of lifting the partial lockdown right or otherwise.
The NDC Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, in the Northern Region – Hon. Ras Mubarak has explained that the lockdown had a negative impact on the poor who were really suffering to feed themselves with three square meals a day.
“Good decision to lift the restrictions. Poor people bore the full brunt of the lockdown and God knows what they’ve been through,” he wrote on his Facebook wall.
