Divergent opinions across social media platforms erupted when experienced JoyNews’ Sport Journalist, Gary Al-Smith shared the news of his Coronavirus status. The outspoken journalist cum Sports Analyst made the decision to uncover his positive COVID-19 status after consultations with some key individuals.

According to Gary, his main objective is to use his affluence to neutralize the perceptions Ghanaians harbour on the virus since most citizens are even doubting its existence.

In one of his posts, Gary Al-Smith became infuriated and cursed someone (probably affiliated to the ruling party – NPP because of how he accused Gary of faking his status to pursue his diabolic agenda) who doubted his COVID-19 status.
