Papavi’s Secessionist Squad Allegedly Attacks STC Yard; Beat Drivers, Burn Properties, Etc

What appeared to be routine calls for some separatists at the Volta Region who call themselves Western Togolanders may be getting out of hand. The Papavi-led movement seems prepared in their insurgencies as they unleashed their wraths last Friday.

The group which supposedly started from a Homeland Study Group movement is gradually expanding.

A group of armed men is reported to have attacked the State Transport Corporation (STC) situated in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.

The attack which was carried out by armed militants of the secessionists group, Monday midnight, fired gunshots before proceeding to assault driver of the bus.

The security guard is reported to have been held at gunpoint while they set one of the buses on fire and damaging another.
