Religion and politics are the most sacred and highly intense topics one can ever think of. Many have said if you want sever the friendship that exist between you and your friends, then, kindly discuss politics or religion. A disagreement in any of the two will ensure that there is an end to the special bond you once shared. Quite frankly, Africans are fond of always attacking those who share different religious views from theirs. Arguably, the Blackman’s religious intolerance is very high than expected.
Adding his voice to the foregoing deliberations, a young man has explained why he feels that Ghanaians must be left to choose any denomination of their choice without any hindrance or furiously fighting off others because they hold different opinions from you.
He pointed out;
***The way some Nigerian Christians and Muslims fight for and defend God, you would think God is a helpless defenceless handicapped who depends on humans to survive.
If your God is all that powerful, then he or she definitely does NOT need you to fight for and/or defend him.
Over enthusiastic religious people need to stop fighting for their Gods. If you believe that your God is omnipresent and almighty, then you don’t need to stress yourselves.
From my experience as a human being, most humans put in excess energy into fighting for and defending something or someone that is incapable of fighting for and/or defending itself.
When you fight for your God, you unconsciously reduce your God to a powerless God.
This is one truth most of you don’t want to hear, but someone has got to say it anyway.***
Do you side with him?
