Some Ghanaian Players Testing Positive For COVID-19 Is A Big Blow — Gary
With COVID-19 preventing the start of leagues across the world, the few moves to normalize things have already commenced. Bundesliga in Germany, for instance, has defied all odds to start their league.
During a football show yesterday, JoySports’ Gary Al-Smith hosted the programme which was aired on JoyNews TV, DStv channel 421, and GoTV channel 144.
The pundits on the show were Ghana’s celebrated sports journalist – Kwabena Yeboah, South African broadcaster – Robert Marawa (formerly of SuperSport), and iconic international commentators Jon Champion and Peter Drury.
The programme was dubbed “Football After COVID-19” and during the show, Gary Al-Smith asked the legendary Kwabena Yeboah to reaffirm whether Ghana Premier League’s decision to start the league still holds or otherwise. Reacting to the question, Kwabena Yeboah revealed that the plan is in shambles for now because some Ghanaian players have tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
