The Standard Of The New IGP: The Shatta Wale And MDK Case Study

Some years ago, Kwaw Kese was locked up by Police Officer Kofi Boakye for publicly smoking weed. Most people thought the issue was just a mere controversy that couldn’t stand the test of time. But true to the words of the then COP, Kwaw Kese really felt the heat of the day.

That moment was recorded as one of the most dreadful and daring actions taken by a law enforcer against a renowned personality in Ghana.

Fast forward, the new IGP, Mr. Dampare, has done same with Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale and Samuel Adu Frimpong aka Medikal or MDK of Arab Money Gang (AMG) Business Fame.

Many are questioning whether this move from the new IGP is a nine day wonder or he intends to hold same for a longer period.

Many are asking whether the IGP will be this tough on political entities in the country.
