Veteran Actor Ayobami Akinwale is dead

The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into yet another mourning mood on Sunday, as it lost yet another Veteran Actor and movie producer Ayobami Akinwale to the cold hands of death.
Academia and Nollywood Actor, Professor Ayobami Akinwale reportedly died on Sunday, September 13th, 2020, after a brief illness.

The deceased is famous for his role in the 1990s movie, Sango.
He starred in movies like Sango (1997), Ladepo Omo Adanwo (2005), Iranse Aje (2007), and many others. He was also a professor in the department of the Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin.
Asides’ being a thrilling thespian and a professor Akinwale was a veteran movie producer, a laureate of the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA), and a director.

He began his acting career in the 1970s featuring in television and drama productions. He won the best indigenous actor award at the 4th Africa movie academy awards
