Why Hushpuppi’s Trial Was Shifted To 2021 Unveiled
Citizens in Africa sometimes wonder why the law courts are somewhat expedient in dealing with vulnerable groups in their competent jurisdictions whilst the narrative is quite different when the said defendant is rich or famous! Admittedly, this even happens in the developed world — which makes it seem as if the world belongs to only the rich and affluent. Is this phenomenon the eighth wonder of the world or what? Or a mystery which needs to be solved?
Well, the trial of Nigerian big boy, Hushpuppi, was supposedly postponed to 2021 due to the Novel COVID-19 pandemic. The question some are asking is whether this is a calculated delay tactic or a necessity?
According to the orders of Judge Otis Wright, his trial will now resume by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021.
The embattled Instagram gameboy is facing a four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.
