The Nation Builders Corps programme which is a government initiative to address graduate unemployment to solve social problems has chalked a number of successes and at the same time encountered some bottlenecks since it took off in November 2018.

One affirmative benefit is the Nabco Skills and Talent Academy which was launched by the President during the one year anniversary. It is to deliver the requisite value driven in their future contrary to this success has being the payment of trainees stipend. The flow of the stipend is in such a way that one cannot bank hopes in it and draw consistent budget out of it since you cannot predict the exact date of payment.

According to the CEO of Nabco – Dr Anyars Ibrahim, during his interview on Radio Tamale, it’s quite emphatic that the number of trainees are too huge that the government struggle to pay them since it has not featured in the budget hitherto. He even quizzed, “before the Nabco program, the complaining trainees what were they waiting for at the end of the month? So, according to the CEO, Nabco trainees have to be grateful.

What’s your take on this?
