Five for MTN Hit-Maker final

imagesOne contestant  was supposed to be taken out  for four  to sail through to the final event of this year’s MTN Hit-Maker.

Surprisingly, however, all five were given the green light by the judges at the last eviction show, to battle it out on Friday, November 28, at the National Theatre for the GH¢ 100,000 recording deal.

Mac-M, Snow B, Torgbe, Naba and Emperor were beside themselves with joy  at the good news and are now plotting out ways to clinch the ultimate prize.

“It was really tough deciding who should step aside,” said judge Bessa Simons. “Each of the five is keen on winning the prize at stake and we felt we must give them the  opportunity to prove why they deserved to be declared the best on Friday.”

Mac-M said at the beginning of the contest that he was going to use the MTN Hit-Maker platform to prove he was one of the best rappers in this this part of the world. He now has the  chance to show that.

Snow B started writing lyrics when he was in Junior High School and now cannot wait to exhibit how far he has come with that skill.

Torgbe is one of the young men determined to bring a fresh face to popular music in Ewe and he has the perfect platform on Friday to show what he has.

Naba says music is the best thing that has ever happened to her and is sure her powerful voice would help her walk away with the ultimate prize.

Emperor, a Level 100 student at the University of Ghana, Legon, came in as a wild card when the contest had travelled a couple of weeks.

He has demonstrated his staying power so far and believes he would be the only one still standing at the end of the contest.

Guest performers slated for the show are Kaakie, Samini, VVIP, Kofi Kinaata, Miriam, Koo Ntakara, Cano Z and actor-comedian, Lil Win.

The MTN Hit-Maker 2014 final show will be hosted by Bola Ray of Starr FM and television presenter, Peace Hyde.
