2nd Lady Samira Bawumia’s Senior Brother Whips NPP’s Yaw Buaben Asamoa At Adentan Constituency

News circulating around indicates that, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, the elder brother of Second Lady Samira Bawumia has defeated NPP’s Director of Communication Yaw Buaben Asamoah to emerge the Member of Parliament elect for the Adentan constituency in Accra.

The son of the former National Chairman of the PNC, had earlier floored Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur in the parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2019 to emerge as the party’s Parliamentary Candidate in August 2019.


Records from the 2020 polls depicts that, the brother-in-law of Ghana’s Veep, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, polled 53,275 votes as opposed to 41,691 votes by the incumbent – Hon. Yaw Buaben Asamoah. GUM and CPP candidates polled 517 and 171 respectively.
