Acting Inspector General of Police Pays Last Respect to Late DCOP Mustapha Garba (Rtd.)
The Acting Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has led a delegation of top police officers to pay their last respect to the late Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Mustapha Garba at the Police Central Mosque, Cantonments, Accra.
The late DCOP Garba, joined the Ghana Police Service as a constable and rose through the ranks to become a DCOP. He retired as a Regional Commander of the Accra Regional Police Command in 2000.
In line with Muslim tradition, friends, family, former work colleagues and a number of police officers gathered at the Police Central Mosque at Cantonments for an outdoor funeral service to pay tribute to the late DCOP.
The Imam of the mosque, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Abdul Husein Rahim Husein, in his sermon, admonished well-wishers and family gathered at the burial service to live lives worthy of emulation before they are called by their maker. He prayed that the soul of DCOP Garba be blessed by Allah and placed among the righteous.
