Agblanaakye
Agblanaakye, literally translates as pull-till-it-tears is a candy originating from the Ga tribe in Ghana. It is usually available in public schools and provision stores (corner shops). The traditional candies of these types are now difficult to find, due to the western type of candies in the market.
Below is the preparation process:
– blend dry coconut fruit
– Squeeze milk out and dispose chaff
– Mix coconut milk with sugar in sauce pan
– Place pan with content on fire and stir till it gets lumpy “thick toffee”
– Roll on a clean table to and cut to a cylinder shape
