Ghana: Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) Fashion and Design Award Comes on 29th August

The crowning moment for the winner of the British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) Fashion and Design Award comes off this Friday 29th August 2014 at the British Council auditorium. In previous weeks, there were calls for interested young Ghanaians talents to send in their application for consideration. The awards panel went through numerous applications and will showcase the top 5 nominees at the finals on Friday.

The final five who have gone through rigorous selection processes with the awards panel will then be presented to the audience and acknowledged but the final spotlight will be on the one person who picks the ultimate award – YCE Fashion and Design 2014 Award winner.
In attendance will be the British Council Country Director, Minister of Tourism as well as other dignitaries and industry players. Efya is set to thrill the audience with her performance. Her management outfit One Nation Entertainment is a sponsor of the event.

The event is strictly by invitation. Event runs from 18:00 – 20:00 GMT.

YCE Fashion and Design 2014 Award winner will participate in a shared tour of the UK’s fashion and design sector which runs from 13 – 19 September 2014 while London plays host to London Fashion week and London Design week.

The programme will include, a curated tour of the Fashion and Design industry in London, access to London Design Festival, attendance at 100% Design, curated group meetings to give an overview of what’s happening in the UK Fashion and Design industry, peer networking with the international participants and UK young Fashion and Design entrepreneurs.

The winner also gets access to a master class with UK industry players, time for individual business meetings as well as opportunities to network and make business contacts.
