Meet the Ghanaian Member of Parliament leading the fight against COVID-19
Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, the member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region has put his skill into bear during this trying times.
The Medical Doctor who is now a politician is not only making laws for Ghana but has also joined his colleagues in the Hospital to save lives.
He shared a post with his friends on Facebook this morning and it was sighted by Ghanashowbiz.com.
“This morning at the LEKMA HOSPITAL, had my usual Monday consultations in an atmosphere well positioned for the management of the CORONA VIRUS. Social distancing and frequent use of sanitizers characterized today’s consultations. I had to use the open space at the triage area for consultations instead of the consulting room. Reason is simple, open spaces come with lower risk than closed rooms when it comes to viral transmission. I was impressed with the level of awareness and I must say preparation is sufficient. More however can be done by both leaders and constituents to ensure that we all make it through stormy times. I am working closely with government to ensure that more PPEs and logistics are made available so we ensure sufficient preparation not only for the suspected cases of today but also for the unknown cases of tomorrow. I salute all my colleague health workers. Together we shall overcome. #staysafe#thebattleislord’s” he wrote.
Dr. Okoe Boye is the Board Chairman of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
