This was issued by the minster on his Facebook page:
A short while ago, I cast my vote at the Apagyafie Ash-Town Polling Station in my constituency, Manhyia South. I was also honoured to accompany the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to vote at the Manhyia Palace A Polling Station, also within my constituency. I am impressed by the orderliness and calm manner in which voting is taking place, not just in my constituency but across the nation and I am confident that this will remain the case throughout the day.
I urge all Ghanaians to take their civic duty seriously and go out to vote. Call your friends and family members and encourage them to vote, because every single vote counts.
Together, we can make our democracy stronger and a beacon not only in the West African subregion but on the continent at large.
