Photos: Luiz Suarez bites Italian player

Uruguayan player Luis Suarez is once again in the news for another bad reason, biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during their final Group D game Tuesday night. Uruguay won the match 1-0.

Replays showed Suarez sinking his teeth into the shoulder of the Italian defender.

This will be the third time Luis Suarez is biting a player in his career. The 27-year-old served bans for biting PSV’s Otman Bakkal in 2010 while playing for Ajax and also Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in 2013 while playing for Liverpool.

FIFA, according to reports, has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Uruguayan striker over the latest “vampire” attitude. Found culpable, Suarez may serve up to a two-year ban.
