Volta Secessionists Are Criminals And Government Will Not Negotiate With Them – Dr. Bawumia Clarifies

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has shot down speculations that government may meet the Volta secessionists to sort out any outstanding issues.

In an exclusive interview with Asempa FM’s OB on “Eko Sii Sen”, the Veep labelled the Papavi-led Western Togoland separatists as criminals whose claims are dead on arrival.

Responding to those suggesting the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are bent on terrorizing the National Democratic Congress’ strongholds via the Western Togoland saga in the runup to Dec 7 polls, the Vice President explained that they have no hand in the disturbances in and around Volta Region.

“There’s no sense in calling for a dialogue with these criminals because not even a single piece of GHANA would be taken out by any unscrupulous people”, the Vice Prez fumed.
