All You Need To Know About Hon. Henry’s Informed Teachers Network.

Whilst some see farming to be the oldest job on planet earth, others feel that teaching probably existed even before Adam was created. It won’t be far from right to say that creation of mankind involved requisite creativity skills which is an enviable trait of every talented teacher. Teaching has become the most important job because of the platforms it creates for less knowledgeable persons to be imparted by more knowledgeable persons. Teaching is just the act of shedding light unto dark places of individuals in order to assist them live a meaningful life in future.

Just like the many associations found within the teaching profession, one that is rapidly gaining roots in Ghana is the Informed Teachers Network. What is the Informed Teachers Network about?

Informed Teachers Network (ITN) is a network of dedicated educators who are passionate about increasing their impact on education through acquiring and sharing education related facts and information through writings as well as engaging in advocacy.

Informed Teachers Network has a host of Lead Educators who are passionate about sharing what they know, researching and leading the conversation that engages the public in a way that culminates in creating adequately informed teachers that takes the leading role in their lives and that of society.

The world is constantly going through evolution. We have all passed through many stages and are now in the Information Society where the world revolves around information (timely and accurate ones). Informed Teachers are however the leaders of this Information Society. Whatever this generation thinks or does takes their root from what information their teachers gave them.

Hence the philosophy “A misinformed teacher is a deformed teacher and a deformed teacher is a dangerous biological weapon formed against himself and those around him”.
