DJ Sly K & Kwaku Manu’s Exclusive Interview On Max 102.7 FM

DJ Sly K’s entertainment night show had a chitchat with popular Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu.

Early Life of Kwaku Manu:

Born and bred at Obuasi and later located to New Edubiase to become an apprentice of a shoe maker. Later located and stayed at Magazine for 9 years.

Asked how he managed to enter into music.

In 2011, he brought a new song that was launched then and later remixed with Kuami Eugene in 2020.

Role Model and Motivator:

His role model in music was Agya Koo and Mercy Aseidu motivated his acting roles.

How he entered into acting.

Many advised him at the Magazine to try acting because of how jovial he was. He first paid Gh¢150.00 about 15 years ago for his first auditioning.

How he feels when acting evil role plays in movies:

He indicated that to act like a witch or a fornicator has no direct influence on the actor after the act.

He added that the witchcraft scenes are acted in raw state for computing effect later.

He cited an instance when he was on the same set with Apostle John Prah at Obuasi in a fetish home where they were stopped by the priest because of their continual prayer on the set.

Family Life:

Married when he was in active acting. Kwaku Manu has four children – two daughters and two sons.
